PAUWES is warmly inviting all the students in Tlemcen for a film and debate (February 2) and lecture (February 3) on the subject of climate change

02 Feb

Following the global climate change conference COP21, held in Paris last December, PAUWES is inviting you to join us at the following events.

On Tuesday, February 2 at the Cinémathèque of Tlemcen we are inviting you for a screening of the documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth”(USA, 2006). The film shows that, far from fiction, the threat of climate change is a reality to be reckoned with. Rather than a story of despair, the film is a rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share. The projection will be followed by an open discussion on climate change with the participation of the University of Tlemcen, A.S.P.E.WI.T (Association pour la Sauvegardeet de la Promotion de l’environnement de la Wilaya de Tlemcen) and PAUWES. Address: Tlemcen city center, Frères Chekra Street. Entrance fee: 25 DZD.

The following day (Wednesday February 3rd) PAUWES is organizing a lecture on the legal consequences of COP 21, given by Mr. Matthieu Wemaëre. Mr. Wemaëre is an expert on the international scanein the domain and a COP 21 participant. The lecture will take place at the University of Tlemcen, campus Chetouane, at 9:30h. Free entrance.
