Graduation ceremony of the first Cohort
After two years of intensive studies, the first cohort of 26 students of the Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (including Climate Change) – PAUWES will graduate. On October 27th, the University of Tlemcen, in Algeria, will organise the first Graduation Ceremony of the PAUWES Institute. Enrolled in Energy Engineering or Water Engineering master degrees reaching the highest international standards, the graduates have completed internships all over the continent and abroad, as well as good master thesis. They are now to become the future African experts to tackle one of Africa’s biggest challenges, climate change, in order to support the development of the continent. They embody the vision of the African Union Commission for the Pan African University: nurturing quality, exemplifying excellence and enhancing Pan-African integration.

To celebrate this great success of the PAUWES Institute, international renowned guests will meet in Tlemcen, Algeria for the Graduation Ceremony. The tripartite cooperation – the African Union Commission, Algeria, the host country, and Germany, the key and thematic partner – is at the core of the success of the Institute.
